I recently received a custom order for four hats from a nice lady I used to work with. She is having a baby boy and wanted some hats made for him and also a hat for his big sister too. Here is a peek at the delicious yarn I am using to make his hat and the work that has been done so far.
Hello Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and all your leftovers are gone! 🙂
I actually have nothing currently in the works. I was blessed to receive an order for 4 hats from an old co-worker so once the yarn comes in I will be busy!
Are you currently working on anything? Do share 🙂
Hello dear friends. Hope this Wednesday was kind to you. It was a crazy day here. Husband had toe surgery and he’s dealing with the pain from that.
I’ve been working on a hat for myself recently. I made a hat for Husband a few months ago and I loved the pattern so when I found this gorgeous blue yarn at Joann’s. It’s called Stitch. Rock. Love. Sheep(ish) Yarn. It’s robins egg blue. It’s lovely and has a nice sheen to it. Being single ply, there are variances in the thickness of the yarn but not enough to distract from the pattern.
The pictures do not do the color justice. You would really have to see it I person but believe me, it is fantastic!
Are you working on anything new or special? Do share!
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello everyone! Hope this past week was good to you. I don’t know about you but I am so thankful the election is over! Too much hating and ads everywhere for me. But I digress. You are here to see the newest WIP! And…. Here it is!
This is a Bandana Cowl. You can find the pattern here. It’s a really cool pattern incorporating some new elements of knitting for me like wrap and turn for short rows. I really like the way it is constructed. This is one WIP post where you get to see the finished project too. I actually finished the cowl late last night!
It’s a bulky cowl but since it is constructed with short rows you don’t get the bulk behind your neck so you can easily wear it a coat and not have too much fabric at your collar. On the flat photos you can really see the bandana like quality. Its like wearing a bandana without having to do all the folding and tying! 🙂
Try it out. You won’t be disappointed!
Happy Wednesday friends! Hope you all weathered Sandy well enough. We were prepared to lose power but thankfully never did! How did you fare? (If you are on the east coast that is)
My only WIP right now is a comfy cowl I’m trying to make. Its a simple seed stitch pattern but makes a wonderful texture in a bulky yarn.
I also discovered something wonderful and interesting today! Thrumming. Makes crazy warm hats, mittens, and scarves. I might have to try soon. Here is a link if you are interested.
What are you crafting this fine day?
